Indian Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology (IJPP) open access, peer-reviewed quarterly journal publishing since 2014 and is published under auspices of the Innovative Education and Scientific Research Foundation (IESRF), aim to uplift researchers, scholars, academicians, and professionals in all academic and scientific disciplines. IESRF is dedicated to the transfer of technology and research by publishing scientific journals, research content, providing professional’s membership, and conducting conferences, seminars, and award programs.

With the aim of faster and better dissemination of knowledge, we will be publishing the article ‘Ahead of Print’ immediately on acceptance. In addition, the journal would allow free access (Open Access) to its contents, which is likely to attract more readers and citations to articles published in IJPP.

Manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with “Uniform requirements” of the Indian Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology as per guidelines by the International Committee of Medical Journals Editors (Updated December 2019). The uniform requirements and specific requirements of IJPP are mentioned below. Aims and Scope

Indian Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology ISSN 2393-9079 is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes peer-reviewed articles, research articles, in-depth reviews/mini-reviews, and drug clinical trials studies in the rapidly developing field of Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacology, Experimental Pharmacology, Clinical trials, Drug Delivery, Drug Targeting, Experimental Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Preparations, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmacy Education.

The aims of the journal include the following:

• To publish research on all aspects of drug development and production, drug delivery or targeting, from initial concept to potential therapeutic application and final relevance in clinical use, and the evaluation of drugs and pharmaceutical products.

• To publish articles covering research on the molecular mechanistic understanding of drug delivery and drug delivery systems, including physical and pharmaceutical chemistry, biochemistry and biophysics, molecular and cellular biology, and polymer and materials science and all aspects of developments in pharmaceutical research, from animal studies to early clinical investigation, biological therapy, including gene therapy, gene transfer technologies, therapeutic peptides, proteins, vaccines and antibodies, and cell- and tissue-based therapies, transport routes, and mechanisms, including efflux proteins and multi-drug resistance.

• The journal's scope includes therapeutics in many areas: pulmonary-allergy, dermatology, gastrointestinal, arthritis, infectious disorders, endocrine and metabolic, central and peripheral nervous system, cardiovascular and renal, and oncology.

• The Key areas of interest are pharmacology, toxicology, and the clinical applications of herbs and natural products in medicine, from case histories to full clinical trials, including studies of herb-drug interactions and other aspects of the safety of herbal medicines. Papers concerned with the effects of common food ingredients and standardized plant extracts, including commercial products, are particularly relevant, as are mechanistic studies on isolated natural products.

• IJPP keeps pace with new research on how new technologies may optimize drug action, and attention is given to understanding and improving drug interactions in the body. At the same time, the journal maintains its established and well-respected core strengths in pharmaceutics and drug delivery, experimental and clinical pharmacology, pharmaceutics, biopharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy, pharmacology, pharmaceutical analysis, pharmacy practice, and clinical and hospital pharmacy. 

• Its audience includes pharmaceutical scientists, pharmacologists, regulatory professionals, formulation scientists, academicians, Ph.D. and Post-Doctoral Research Scholars, process chemists, and analytical chemists. IJPP also reports on the state of affairs in pharmacy and pharmacology, with politics and policy from pharmacy leaders and professional and industry events and conferences.

• Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology follows the 'Creative Commons Attribution License and scholars' and open access publishing policies. Readers can freely access the published articles online with a unique Digital Objective Identifier (DOI) provided by Cross Ref.

Repository Policy

Authors can deposit their published article in any repository. After publication of the article in the journal, authors are allowed and encouraged to submit their content online (for example, in institutional repositories or on their website). As this can result in fruitful discussions and earlier and more frequent citation of published work which can help to promote the accessibility and reproducibility of research findings for others.

Copyright of the published material

The journal takes a signed copy of the consent declaration form authors where they sign and accepts responsibility for releasing this material to the publisher on behalf of any and all co-authors. But author retains the copyright of the content and transfers all the licensing and publishing rights to the publisher. The author grants the publisher the only right to commercially utilize the article. For the duration of the copyright's full legal term, they provide the publisher, exclusive right, and license to publish. This transfer of publication rights covers the non-exclusive right to reproduction and distribute the article, including reprints, translations, photographic, reproductions, microform, electronic form (offline, online) or any other reproduction of similar nature.

Submitted MSs, which are found to be published or under review elsewhere, will be sustained and experience the “Duplicated Publication Sanctions” and if any submitted manuscripts either fabricated or falsified data, including the manipulation of images, will confront the “Data Fabrication/Falsification Sanctions.”

Advertising Policy

The Journal retains the discretion to decline any advertisement that does not meet journal advertising policy.

1. Advertisements will not be accepted if they are indecent, offensive, or discriminatory based on personal, racial, ethnic, sexual orientation, or religious grounds, whether in text or artwork.

2. The Journal will not accept advertisements for products or services known to be harmful to health, such as tobacco and alcohol.

3. Product advertorials will not allow any treatment-specific or drug-specific campaigns to target specific articles related to the advertised products.

The presence of advertisements or product information on the Journal's website does not means endorsement or approval by the Journal or its publisher regarding the quality or claims made by the manufacturer of the advertised products. Editorial decision does not depend on the any advertisement visible on the website.

Ahead of Print Policy

Articles published online under the “Ahead of Print” model are considered published and can be cited and quoted using DOI as the reference source. Innovative Publication has a policy that changes WILL NOT be made after the publication of an article. Unless an accepted procedure for making corrections to the scientific record is followed.

Revenue Sources

Indian Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology is a self-financed open access journal, which is published in both online and print versions. Article publication charges levied on authors are the only source of income that is utilized in maintaining the administrative and print charges. Also, the very least part of revenue comes from advertisements and subscriptions.

The APC is based on an adjusted scale, providing reduced rates for low- and middle-income countries on the publication charges. Operating expense including the cost of web presence, print version, pre-press preparations, and staff salaries is supported by the above-mentioned resources.

IESRF has outsourced all pre-publication, publication, and post-publication processes to the publisher, including APC management.
